AO Foundation partners with OBERD for patient-reported outcomes data collection
The AO Foundation has joined forces with OBERD to provide a patient-reported outcomes (PRO) data collection system for members in the US with plans to increase access globally by the end of 2018.
OBERD is taking over the complete management, development and delivery of the AO Foundation’s web-based patient-reported outcomes system (formerly known as AOPOC) in the US, with enhanced features that are standard with the OBERD system, including:
- seamless integration with all EHR and Practice Management systems
- automated data collection processes
- user-friendly interfaces
- BYOD accessibility
- customizable reporting and analytics
In addition, both organizations will collaborate to develop and launch the “AO Foundation Registry powered by OBERD.”
“In our search for a partner, we wanted to work with the market leader, with an aligned vision for improving patient health outcomes through the application of data,” explained Mark Vrahas, Board Chairman AOPOC. “OBERD’s vision, reputation, advanced technology, US footprint and international expansion made them a natural fit. We look forward to a long and successful collaboration.”
As well as PRO data collection, AO Foundation members will be able to take advantage of the HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based system’s Clinical Intakes and Operative Notes, Patient Satisfaction, Patient Education, Multi-center Studies and care management system, CareGuide™, collecting data from multiple sources on a single platform. AO Foundation members will also be able to benchmark against de-identified data in OBERD’s vast orthopaedic outcomes database.
“This collaboration is a milestone in the company’s development,” said Ali Hussam, PhD., CEO and co-Founder of OBERD. “To have been chosen as a partner by a prestigious organization such as the AO Foundation is an honor and we are privileged to be able to support some of the most respected orthopaedic surgeons worldwide.”
The AO Foundation will be presenting at OBERD’s booth (#4171) at the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ (AAOS) Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA, March 6 – 10, 2018.
