We're seeking a full-time Attorney who loves a challenge and wants the opportunity to grow with a fast-paced company. The Attorney position will be an integral part of the team, providing legal support through reviewing of contracts, analyzing data, and preparing legal statements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients, sales team members, senior management and external legal counsel to transact from negotiation through to final execution through the contract lifecycle, maintaining regular contact with client stakeholders and updated internal colleagues as required
  • Take ownership of, and project manage, the process from initiation to conclusion, working to overcome obstacles and complete the transaction as efficiently and effectively as possible
  • Review contracts, and ensure contracts are completed correctly and approvals obtained in accordance with OBERD’s policies
  • Identify contractual redline issues and coordinate the effort to achieve resolution efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Provide advice and recommendations in contract negotiations which support the business interests of the company
  • Provide Finance with completed, executed client contracts
  • Maintain a shared list of client contract operational obligations
  • Manage license renewals to ensure continuity of license, and escalate where there are risks to renewal
  • Inform and advise the CEO of the obligations to comply with the GDPR and other data protection laws
  • Supervise compliance department; monitor regulatory compliance including manage internal data protection activities and conduct internal audits
  • Setting internal standards and reviewing global policies and procedures that meet GDPR and any regional data privacy and security requirements in countries where establishing operation.
  • Provide regulatory, transactional, and legal support and advice to the business units and senior and executive management
  • Serve as point of contact for privacy inquiries and escalate consistent with regulatory requirements
  • Prepares and drafts legal documents
  • Other duties, as assigned


Background/ Experience Desired

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-5 years related experience, proven and proficient written and communication skills
  • Healthcare industry knowledge a plus
  • Proactive nature
  • Ability to perform and comprehend price analyses
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment, providing guidance to other team members
  • Demonstrates broad knowledge of legal principles and procedures as they relate to contracts
  • Strong analytic skills with ability to interpret complex information

This position in located in Columbia, Missouri and is not eligible for remote work.
